Our
tour of Exeter starts at 10.00 am in Cathedral Yard, just
behind the High Street. We will tour the Cathedral and then
stop for coffee in a nearby cafe

We
will then walk through to St Stephens Row to view Patricia
McKinnon-Day's glass doors in ruins of the Almshouses. We
will stop here to take some photos and then visit the Royal
Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery.
We
will spend approximately one hour at the Museum, and then
walk along Gandy Street with it's interesting independent
shops. We shall point out the Phoenix Arts Centre where you
may wish to stop for lunch later. You can also view the art
on display.
We
will walk up to Rougemont Castle and you will be given a brief
history of the castle and time to take some photos. We will
then move back to the High St. Brief and point out some excellent
examples of Tudor Houses still in use today.

We will take a break around 1.00 pm and you will have time
free to lunch and shop.
We
will meet back at Cathedral Yard at 3.00 pm, outside the Royal
Clarence Hotel. If you have enough energy, we will walk along
old Roman city walls to Quay, or you can be driven to the
Quay. Ciaris, our guide, will give you some of the historical
background of the Quay, the wool trade, and the Custom House
and then we will walk through to the old medieval bridge.

Our
tour will finish at 5.00 pm at Stepcote Hill, where you will
have a chance to see The House that Moved!
